## Specifications

| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Coating thickness | No coating — surface is the bare machined material at Ra 1.6–3.2 µm default (finer on request). |
| Tolerance impact | None — this is the reference state. All drawing dimensions and tolerances apply directly to the delivered surface. |
| Corrosion rating | Depends entirely on the base material — from hours for bare carbon steel to inherent resistance for stainless, titanium and plastics. |
| Appearance | Bare metal or plastic with visible, slightly directional tool marks; milled and turned features read differently. |
| Applicable substrates | aluminum, stainless-steel, steel, titanium, copper-alloys, specialty-metals, plastics, composites |

## Not suitable for

Bare carbon and alloy steels in humid or outdoor service (they rust within days without protection); cosmetic consumer-facing surfaces where tool marks are objectionable; food, medical or marine stainless applications that require passivation to remove embedded free iron.

## Typical applications

- Internal structural components and brackets
- Mating and datum surfaces where added thickness is unacceptable
- Cost-sensitive prototypes and fit checks
- Parts that will be finished later in your own process
