## Specifications

| Spec | Value |
|---|---|
| Coating thickness | 60–120 µm |
| Tolerance impact | Significant: surfaces grow by the full coating thickness with ±20 µm process variation — fatal for fits. We mask threads, bores and datum faces by default for toleranced features; alternatively design mating surfaces with ~0.15 mm coating allowance. Sharp edges coat thinly — radius ≥0.5 mm helps coverage. |
| Corrosion rating | 500–1,000 h salt spray with proper pretreatment (phosphate or chromate base). |
| Appearance | Any RAL color in gloss, satin, matte or textured; a continuous opaque polymer skin that fully hides the machined surface beneath. |
| Applicable substrates | aluminum, stainless-steel, steel |

## Not suitable for

Unmasked precision mating faces — 100 µm of polymer in a fit causes assembly interference; internal threads (powder bridges and clogs them — mask or tap after coating); thin decorative coats of ≤60 µm (the process cannot go that thin — use wet painting); plastics and any material that cannot survive the 180–200 °C cure bake.

## Typical applications

- Machine frames and guards
- Outdoor brackets and enclosures
- Color-matched product housings mixing steel and aluminum
- High-touch industrial panels
