## Mechanical properties (typical values, not certified minimums)

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Tensile strength | 220–345 MPa (temper) |
| Yield strength | 70–320 MPa (temper) |
| Hardness | 40–95 HRF |
| Density | 8.94 g/cm³ |
| Machinability | ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) |
| Corrosion resistance | ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) |

## When to choose it

When conductivity is everything: nothing affordable carries current or heat better. For contact surfaces specify tin or nickel plating to stop tarnish from degrading performance.

## When to look elsewhere

Soft, gummy machining makes fine detail expensive — if the part has intricate features and 93% IACS suffices, tellurium copper C145 machines ~3× faster; for structure, brass or aluminum.

## Typical applications

- Busbars and high-current terminals
- Heat spreaders and vapor-chamber bases
- RF cavities and waveguide internals
- EDM electrodes and welding tips
