Choose it when

When conductivity is everything: nothing affordable carries current or heat better. For contact surfaces specify tin or nickel plating to stop tarnish from degrading performance.

Look elsewhere when

Soft, gummy machining makes fine detail expensive — if the part has intricate features and 93% IACS suffices, tellurium copper C145 machines ~3× faster; for structure, brass or aluminum.

Typical applications

  • Busbars and high-current terminals
  • Heat spreaders and vapor-chamber bases
  • RF cavities and waveguide internals
  • EDM electrodes and welding tips
