1. Who we are

FabVector ("we", "us") operates the website fabvector.com and the associated custom parts quoting and manufacturing services. For privacy questions, contact greg@fabvector.com.

2. Data we collect

Contact details you provide: email, company, country, phone number.

Files and specifications you upload: CAD models (STEP/STL), drawings, material, tolerance, finish, quantity and notes.

Usage and security data: pages viewed, source UTM parameters, basic events, IP address, approximate country and browser user agent, to operate and protect the service.

3. How we use it

To generate estimates, review manufacturability, issue quotes, and produce and ship your parts.

When you leave the optional AI review enabled, we use derived CAD metrics and structured manufacturing settings to produce DFM observations. AI does not set the price.

To respond to enquiries and send confirmations and notifications related to your RFQ.

We do not sell your data or your files to third parties.

4. Your files and NDA

Your CAD files are treated as confidential and covered by NDA from the moment of upload. They are used only to quote and produce your parts, and shared only with the staff and production partners needed to fulfil your order.

5. Providers that process data

We use trusted infrastructure providers to run the service: S3-compatible file storage (e.g. Cloudflare R2), a managed database (e.g. Neon), email delivery (e.g. Resend) and hosting (e.g. Vercel). Each processes data only to operate the service.

For the optional AI review, Vercel AI Gateway routes derived metrics (dimensions, volume, surface area, hole count and estimated wall) and manufacturing settings (material, quantity, tolerance, finish, process, inspection and lead-time target) to Anthropic, DeepSeek and Moonshot. The CAD file, free-text notes, critical-feature text and contact details are not included in the model prompt. A daily rotating pseudonymous technical identifier may be used for quota and security controls. You can disable this review in the quote form.

Messages entered in the manufacturing assistant are also processed by these providers through Vercel AI Gateway. Do not submit confidential, personal or export-controlled information to the assistant.

6. Retention

We keep RFQ data and files for as long as needed to fulfil your order and to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can request deletion at any time (see Your rights).

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction or deletion of your data, or object to certain processing, by emailing greg@fabvector.com. We honour such requests in line with applicable law, including the GDPR where it applies.

8. International transfer

FabVector operates from China and serves customers globally; your data may be processed outside your country. We apply reasonable safeguards to protect it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The "last updated" date above reflects the current version.
