The price comes from a rules engine, not a model
Your STEP file is parsed into geometry — volume, surface area, holes, thinnest wall — and priced by a deterministic engine against material, tolerance, finish and quantity. The same file and configuration always return the same range, and every quote can be recalculated and audited.
AI reviews manufacturability — it never touches the price
If you opt in, three independent models cross-check the part for manufacturing risk after the price is already on screen. They can flag issues and route the job to an engineer; they cannot change the number. The models receive derived geometry and configuration only — never your CAD file or contact details.
An engineer takes over where the engine stops
Advanced alloys, special processes, regulated industries and inspection packages route to engineer review through the same form. Severe DFM findings do the same — the instant range stays visible, but release to production waits for a person.
Volume programmes are priced by people, on purpose
Above the instant-quote band the range is a planning figure, labelled as such. Production pricing depends on annual quantity, release schedule, tooling plan and material position — an engineer sets it against your programme, from qualification batches to 1,000,000+ parts a year.
