Battery module end plates translate clamping load into a cell stack, so flatness, stiffness, hole pattern and edge condition matter more than cosmetic machining. Prototype and pilot parts are commonly machined from aluminum plate; the RFQ should define the loaded condition, finish, insulated interfaces and any assembly-level dimensional report.

The drawing should state free-state, restrained or loaded inspection. Without that condition, two valid methods can produce different results.

02Can end plates be anodized after machining?

Yes. Define masking, electrical bonding zones, cosmetic expectations and dimensions that apply after coating.
