Battery module end plates translate clamping load into a cell stack, so flatness, stiffness, hole pattern and edge condition matter more than cosmetic machining. Prototype and pilot parts are commonly machined from aluminum plate; the RFQ should define the loaded condition, finish, insulated interfaces and any assembly-level dimensional report.
